Skerries Coast Guard is a unit of the Irish Coast Guard (IRCG), operating under the Department of Transport. The Irish Coast Guard is one of Ireland's four principal emergency services — alongside An Garda Síochána, the Fire Service, and the Ambulance Service — and can be reached any time by dialling 112 or 999 and asking for the Coast Guard. Our team of highly trained volunteers is a dedicated search and drone unit, responding to emergencies of every kind — along cliffs, coastlines, and at inland rivers and lakes — across North County Dublin.
We work alongside An Garda Síochána, the National Ambulance Service, RNLI and the Dublin Fire Brigade to ensure that those in danger on the coast receive a fast, professional response.
