Rescue equipment
Skerries Coast Guard is equipped with an array of vital search and rescue equipment, including emergency vehicles, pyrotechnics, illumination equipment, marine radios, medical equipment, and rescue throw lines. All team members undertake regular training in the use of all of this equipment.
In addition, every team member is issued with their own personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes Petzl helmet, hi-vis clothing, Gortex boots, lifejacket, torch and marine vhf radio.
