Incident – 29th June 2008

Skerries Coast Guard were tasked at 00:25 this morning by the Irish Coast Guard’s rescue coordination centre (MRCC). MRCC had received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting a vessal requiring assistance off the Skerries coastline.  Skerries Coast Guard volunteers were on scene within minutes and undertook a shoreline scan of the area. There were a large number of vessels in the area, however none required assistance and no further action was required.
