Marine Notice 14 of 2012

The Department of Tourism, Transport and Sport have issued marine notice #14 of 2012, advising of forthcoming offshore construction operations on the East-West Interconnector Project.

From 1st April 2012 and continuing for a period of up to three weeks, the vessel Kingdom of Fife will be undertaking Pre-Lay Grapnel Runs (PLGR) along a 105km section of the interconnector route, between Rush, North Co Dublin and the Welsh coast. The vessel will be towing a grapnel rig up to 150 metres astern and should be given a wide berth by other vessels. Operations will be carried out on a 24hour basis and the vessel will display the appropriate day shapes and lights as required.
